Wells Town Football Club hosted the Bungay Town 'Black Dogs' Anglian Combination Division One clash at Beach Road on Saturday (September 9).
With the visitors in second position in the league and Wells looking for their first win of the season, it was always going to be a tough encounter.
Early on, the hosts matched their opponents in most departments and the game looked fairly evenly matched.
The visitors broke the deadlock when midway through the first half the striker broke through the defence and slotted past the advancing goalkeeper.
The second half had the hosts pushing forward for the equaliser and several chances going begging.
With Wells forcing several corners to try and get on level terms the visitors added a second to kill off the contest.
Wells Town travels to play Caister reserves on Saturday, September 16, while Wells reserves visit Hemsby, with both games having 2.30pm kick-offs.
