Plans are well under way for an award-winning Norfolk distillery to move into its new location. 

Earlier this year, Black Shuck, based in Fakenham, applied to have barns in Hindolveston converted into a working distillery. 

North Norfolk District Council approved the plans a few months later. 

The 12-year-old business, which specialises in the production of gin, vodka, rum and schnapps, is now getting ready to move into its new location on Church Lane.

The owners hope to open the new distillery to the public in March next year. 

Sarah Saunders, co-director of the business, said: "We're taking our time to move into the new location and work is currently being done to get it ready."

It will also include a visitor barn where guests will be able to sample products, enjoy light refreshments and have a tour of the distillery. 

She said: "We also plan to have occasional special events and coffee mornings. A little closer to home, both mine and Patrick's mothers died with dementia in 2022. 

"So, on one day a month the team would like to open a dementia café with a warm welcome and free tea and coffee to anyone who wishes to drop in."

She said: "The current distillery is on our home site so I'll definitely miss the convenience of working from home. 

"Being able to bring in the washing on a rainy day will be a lot trickier."

Mrs Saunders said the video was written and recorded by her niece and is "deserving of a Christmas number one."
