A young sailor has reached Norfolk during an epic  eco-awareness journey.

The 18-year-old adventurer from Devon, Harry Besley, cruised into Wells-next-the-sea on an electric rigid inflatable boat (eRIB) as part of an ambitious voyage around the UK coastline.

His journey, dubbed ‘Round Britain eRIB’, aims to raise awareness about marine electrification and has already lasted 28 days.

Harry set off from Lyme Regis on the south coast, navigating to places offering shoreside electricity supplies.

His trip showcases the UK's wide range of maritime pursuits, from small-scale fishing to major commercial ports.

Tidal Transit, a sponsor of the Round Britain eRIB and a supplier of crew transfer vessels for the offshore wind industry, welcomed Harry at the Port of Wells as he stopped to recharge.

Tidal Transit’s Commercial Director, Leo Hambro, voiced his support stating: We’re incredibly proud to support Harry’s electric expedition.

"His journey embodies the spirit of innovation and determination that is crucial for tackling the climate crisis."
