Most pensioners enjoy a quieter, slower lifestyle but Chris Esposito is no ordinary 68-year-old.
When the boiler exploded in his much-loved burger van Chris decided it was a sign to start something new.
So it is "bye-bye burgers" and "hello" digital technology.
Mr Esposito, whose menu is known for the "monster" Espo Mac, started catering 30 years ago with a mobile snack bar in a layby between Fakenham and King's Lynn.
He also ran a brick-and-mortar chippie in Wicken Green, started a fencing business with his son, and DJs over the weekends.
In 2022, he bought another van and started running Esposito's Snack Bar in the Rampant Horse Inn's car park.
But the food industry has taken its toll, and Mr Esposito knows the 24/7 shifts are not sustainable.
Rather than spend extra money on repairing the vehicles, he told customers on Facebook he would be closing the shop for good.
"I knew then that it was time to call it a day," he said. "But that doesn't mean retire."
Mr Esposito is now preparing to launch Esposito and Moore Mobile Phone Repair Service with his business partner, and engineer, Greg Moore.
"As far as I know, no one in Fakenham is doing mobile phone repair services.
"Greg and I will have thousands of spare parts and equipment to service any phone, laptop, PC, iPad or TV."
Mr Esposito said everything he touches turns to gold and he has no doubt the business will be a success, so retirement will have to wait a few more years.
"I'm not one to sit around and watch Emmerdale. I'm sure there'll be a day when I do retire, but as far as I'm concerned, I'll go until I drop," he said.
Mr Esposito plans to open the business on October 1.
