The much-loved Ride North Norfolk cycling event is set to return to Fakenham in this summer.
The community-organised, non-competitive ride will happen again on August 25, offering people of all fitness levels the chance to participate.
The appeal of this popular event is not merely its inclusive nature, but the supportive environment that accompanies it.
With clearly marked courses to emergency back-up, this day promises to be a thrilling day for both locals and visitors.
Event organiser Richard Crook remarked on the affordability of the forthcoming event, one that he is particularly proud of amidst current economic conditions.
He said: "This year’s routes range through 15, 25, 36, 51, 64 (100km) and 102 miles.
"We are aware of the cost of living crisis, and we are proud that we have been able to maintain the low price of entry because we are a community ride.
"Rides start from just £4.
"You can enter through the Active Fakenham website."
Participants can anticipate a rewarding day, with a complete array of benefits included in the entry fee.
From easy-to-follow route signs to free beverages and nutrition – including a homemade flapjack – riders can relish in the event’s provisions.
Completing the ride brings about a sense of accomplishment with a medal, along with a complimentary bag of goodies.
Add to this the supportive services offered, including a mobile mechanic, breakdown support, and even a rescue service, the event guarantees a safe and enjoyable experience.
The cycling event also houses attractions beyond the ride – a social event with food, a barbecue with local produce, live music, and stalls.
All participants and spectators are welcome to join.
Registrations are now open through the Active Fakenham website.
