From set times to travel, here is all you need to know ahead of Festival Too 2024 in King's Lynn.

What is Festival Too?

Festival Too is an annual free entry music festival in King's Lynn, organised by a committee of volunteers, and 2024 will be its 39th year. 

It will take place over three weekends, starting in King's Staithe Square (PE30 1JE) on June 29 and 30 and then moving to the Tuesday Market Place (PE30 1JW) on July 5 and 6 and 12 and 13.

From emerging local talent to internationally renowned musicians, there will be 28 acts performing at the west Norfolk event.

What can and can't I bring?

Adults can bring alcohol but outdoor drinking is not permitted outside of the market square.

Attendees are encouraged to avoid glass bottles and bring plastic bottles and cans instead - drinks must be unopened when you enter.

Chairs are allowed but they need to be around the edges - on busier nights it may be unsuitable for chairs, pushchairs and prams. 

There is a zero-tolerance policy on drugs and no overnight camping is allowed.

Fireworks, flares, drones and laser pens are not permitted and there will be bag searches and random body scanning on all nights.

Is there an afterparty?

Yes, on Saturday, July 13 from 10.30pm there will be an afterparty hosted by Mark Purdy at the King's Lynn Corn Exchange.

Is there an accessible viewing platform?

Yes, there is a raised area for people with disabilities opposite The Maid's Head - it has limited capacity and is available on a first come, first serviced basis. 

One carer is allowed with each person requiring access. 

How can I get to King's Staithe Square and the Tuesday Market Place?

Various car parks will be open during Festival Too, with a map available at west-norfolk.gov.uk

From King's Lynn Railway Station, King's Staithe Square is approximately an 11-minute walk and Tuesday Market Place is around 13 minutes away by foot.

When you arrive at the Tuesday Market Place, the entrances will be via King Street, High Street, St. Nicholas Street and Market Lane (the organisers recommend you use the latter two).

How can I donate?

Festival Too costs in the region of £180,000 each year, which is raised through local sponsorship, fundraising events and bucket collections at the event.

Do I need to book tickets?

No, Festival Too is an unticketed free entry event.

There is a maximum crowd capacity limit of 12,000 and if or when this is reached, attendees will be turned away for health and safety reasons.
