An award-winning brewery is hoping to open a new shop and taproom.
A licence application has been made to North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) for Barsham Brewery in Fakenham to open a new shop and taproom.
The application outlines plans to open the new offering in a building sandwiched between the existing brewery, which holds a 24-hour licence.
In the document, it states the shop would be open Monday to Friday, with the new taproom opening Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Tom Trivedi, managing director at Barsham Brewery, said: “This is the next stage in the growth and evolution of the brewery. We will share more details as things progress.”
The plans continue the business’ rise in popularity, having expanded its production capacity last year, including adding a delivery vehicle.
It follows a series of awards, including its Oaks Session Bitter being named the 2023 Norfolk Session Bitter of the Year by Norwich and District CAMRA.
Barsham Brewery is also planning to introduce new beer varieties and Street Food Friday events return in April.
