Make sure 2024 starts with a bang and head to the north Norfolk coast for Cromer's annual New Year's Day fireworks display. 

Here is all you need to know ahead of the event on Monday, January 1. 

What time is the fireworks display in Cromer?

Titanium Fireworks is once again behind the display, which will be set off from Cromer Pier at 5pm.

What else is happening in Cromer on New Year's Day?

The North Norfolk Beach Runners' family fun run will take place along the promenade at 3pm, with registration at the pier forecourt from 2.30pm. 

At 4.30pm, there will be a torchlight procession from the churchyard to the viewing point on the slopes above the pier (subject to weather conditions).

Official torches will be on sale from outside Cromer Museum from 2pm.

Raffle tickets will also be available for £1 from 2pm to 4pm outside the museum and during opening hours at the box office on Cromer Pier. 

The winner will be invited to press the button to start the display and they will receive two tickets to the summer show on Cromer Pier.

How can I get there and where can I park?

See the list of car parks open and the charges above, with some offering free parking.

In Runton Road Car Park, usual charges apply until 2pm and after that a set fee of £5 will apply - payable by cash or card. 

You can also travel by rail, with the station a short walk from the town centre, and Greater Anglia has added extra trains.

Are there any road closures?

There will be some temporary traffic restrictions in the town centre between 8am and 7pm on Monday, January 1, so make sure to follow the signage.

Is the fireworks display accessible? 

There will be a wheelchair viewing area on Jetty Cliff and a Changing Places facility at the North Norfolk Information Centre by Meadow Car Park.

How can I donate and can I volunteer? 

There will be cash-only collection buckets on the day and a Just Giving page has been set up, which is linked on the 'Cromer New Year's Day Fireworks' Facebook page.

The money raised goes towards funding the display and local charities.
