Hundreds of people braved the cold to welcome Christmas in Fakenham.
Crowds gathered in the town’s Market Place for the switch-on event, which also featured performances by an infant and nursery school choir, the 1st Academy of Dance, the Fakenham and District Light Operatic Society (Fadlos) and more.
Fakenham events committee organised the event and praised the strong turnout despite the temperatures dropping as low as -2 degrees.
Riley Colk, aged six, got to switch on the lights after winning a 'Naughty Elf Trail’ competition.
The Fakenham Area Partnership said it wanted to thank the town council for supporting the event, along with sponsors WJ Aldiss., Stephenson-Smart, Hayes & Storr, Specsavers, and other small businesses and volunteers.
Partnership co-ordinator Janet Holdom said: “Their generous loyalty sustains the winter festival of lights and spreads much-needed cheer throughout the town.”
