He has helped light up Fakenham every Christmas for four decades - but this festive season will mark his final display.
Peter Hamilton, from the market town, has been installing the lights which brighten Christmas time in Fakenham since 1993.
This year marks the end of his illumination efforts ahead of his retirement.
On leaving school, Mr Hamilton started with Kings and Barnhams as an apprentice and has stayed there his whole working life.
It is through the business that he got the job of installing the Christmas lights and he makes it his mission to make sure they work faultlessly throughout the season.
His son, Shaun, paid tribute to his dad’s years of work, saying: “I have fond memories as a young child going into town of an evening 'helping' him maintain them.
“I would think the biggest thing he will miss is all the people who come and say hello to him over the two or three weeks while he is in town installing them.”
He will now hand over the reins to Daniel Leete, another member of the Kings and Barnhams team - one of many who have assisted over the years. His dad, David, helped Mr Hamilton previously install the lights in the 90s.
