One of the best gastropubs in the UK will host a huge festival of mussels.
The Marshside Mussel Festival at the White Horse in Brancaster Staithe will take place on Friday, October 20, from 4pm until late and on Saturday and Sunday from midday until late.
There will be live music by Nelson’s Shantymen, Cameron and Jordan Music, saxophonist Seanne and others.
Beers from Belgium and 'boozy hot chocolate' will also be on offer in a heated marquee overlooking Brancaster's tidal marsh - just yards from where the mussels are harvested.
Rob Williamson, the pub's general manager, said: "Mussels are delicious, without a doubt.
"They are on our menu every day and we love this annual celebration of what’s good and special on our own back doorstep.
"A full line up of music and a heated marquee and that view across the tidal marsh is something to admire.”
Earlier this year, the White Horse pub ranked 34th out of the country's top 50 gastropubs in Estrella Damm's guide - the top Norfolk-ranked pub.
Booking is not necessary.
