A town's annual community cycling event continues to be hailed as a day for all to enjoy.
Ride North Norfolk, organised by Active Fakenham, took place on August 27 and saw 200 cyclists of all abilities undertake different routes, with some raising money for charity.
The event, which announced a price freeze to help people get involved amid the cost of living crisis, had routes that ranged from 15 to 102 miles.
Sue and Chris Tune, a couple from Yorkshire, travelled to Fakenham to take part in the event, completing the 36-mile route to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society.
“We thoroughly enjoyed it, it was very well organised, well signposted and with wonderful volunteers on the route,” they said.
“We downloaded the 36-mile route, never having cycled that distance before to raise money for the Alzheimer's Society."
They wanted to support the charity as a loved one died from the disease and another also suffers from it too.
They added: “We wanted to thank Richard Crook, chair of Active Fakenham, for organising, and hope that he continues to host this brilliant event.”
The entry price included drinks and food including homemade flapjacks, a trophy or medal and a goodie bag - with a free event at the community centre held after.
Another rider commented on Facebook: "A brilliant event, everyone from the volunteers signing you in, to the drinks stop helpers to the competitors were friendly and welcoming, not always the case at cycling events. It really felt like an event for all."
Speaking after the event, Mr Crook said: “We were very pleased with the day. I would like to personally thank the many helpers who made it happen.

"The feedback and comments we received were great and very heartening. We hope to do it all again on Sunday, August 30, 2024.”
