Students from Fakenham and Wells were celebrating today as they were handed their GCSE results.
Pupils from Fakenham Academy and Alderman Peel joined their peers from across the country on August 24 as they found out how they fared in their exams, and what comes after finishing school.
Among them was Ellie Mae Hodgkins, who was thrilled with her high-level grades which included a 9 in English language and 8s in history and geography.
She is looking forward to studying for A-levels in September at Fakenham Sixth Form.
Walter Mitchell felt great about his results and said of the extra support provided by the school this year: “The online tutoring programme and super Saturday sessions have really supported me to achieve these fantastic grades.”
Wilf Barker was extremely pleased to receive good grades across all his subject areas and is now looking forward to starting Fakenham Sixth Form in September.
Another student delighted was Maddison Colk who received a range of strong results across all of her subjects.
The student is now looking forward to doing drama, English language and English literature at Fakenham Sixth Form next year.

She also had another reason to celebrate, she was also the proud winner of an iPad as part of the school's passport to success initiative, which she was presented with by the school’s headteacher Gavin Green today.
Speaking on the results, Mr Green said: “Today is the culmination of many years of hard work – students and their families fully deserve this level of success, and all the opportunities we hope will come their way in the future.
“I'm extremely proud of all the students and our brilliant staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure pupils reach their full potential. I want to offer my congratulations to them all. We now look forward to welcoming many of our students into Fakenham Sixth Form to continue with this success."
At Alderman Peel High School, in Wells, Principal Matt Hardman, said: “We are so proud of all APHS students today as they celebrate their GCSE results.
"Today recognises their learning and achievement, but also the career and life skills they have developed during their time with us.
“There are many students who have done incredibly well to achieve a full set of Grades 7-9, as well as students who have worked incredibly hard to achieve Grades 1-3 and this should not be forgotten.
"In the backdrop of global disruption these are significant achievements. We look forward to celebrating with our students and are confident that they will continue to display 'Ambition, Pride, Happiness and Success' in their exciting futures ahead.”
