Fakenham’s NatWest bank branch is to be gutted and its ATM removed following its closure in around six weeks’ time.
North Norfolk District Council has approved an application for everything to be removed from the building on the corner of Market Place and Bridge Street after it shuts for good on August 10.
The cashpoint will also be taken away.
NatWest said the closure was because most people were moving to “mobile and online banking because it’s faster and easier for people to manage their financial lives.”

The building is Grade II listed and is located in a conservation area.
NatWest said it would send a van, which is equipped with banking services, to the town at least once a week.
Broadland MP Jerome Mayhew said after a meeting with representatives from the bank: "NatWest has committed to a permanent provision of a full mobile banking service in Fakenham on Wednesday afternoons, when the post office is closed, and they will look into adding Thursday market day as well.”
