Around 4.75 acres of land in Gately, near Fakenham, has come up for sale with planning permission to create a six-bedroom home. It’s currently on the market for £550,000 and offers a blank canvas for new owners.

A spokesperson for selling agents Sowerbys says: “The impressive design incorporates a number of notable features, including a grand canopy front entrance, contemporary style open balcony off the principal bedroom [and] open-plan living spaces flooded with natural light.”

Demolition of the existing dwelling is required before work can take place, and planning allows for the new home to be built in the centre of the plot, with grounds and paddocks extending in all directions.

There is also additional planning permission for stables and garaging, including an open bay cart lodge.
