A landlord has hit out at whoever stole a charity box from the pub he manages.
Kevin Black, manager of the Henry IV pub in Greenway Lane, Fakenham, said the collection box for Macmillan Cancer Support went missing from the bar on New Year’s Eve.
Mr Black said he had reported the theft to the police.
He said: “What they have done is despicable.
“The pub works hard to raise money for the tub, and customers who kindly donate to the charity as well.
“I lost my mum to cancer, and Macmillan really supported us as a family, so it’s heartbreaking some people would do this. It's the lowest of the low.”
A Norfolk Police spokesman confirmed they were investigating the theft of the box, which is thought to have contained around £75.
Anyone with information that could help can report it to the police on 101, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
